10/33 HCB: Responding to Rising Demand for Thermometers

In HCB, there was a surge in demand for thermometers as a part of response measures for COVID-19. OMRON achieved a dramatic 80% YoY growth in H1 sales on a global basis. OMRON moved swiftly to expand capacity at its Dalian plant in China. The sales growth reflects the contribution from expanded capacity. We have also started production at the Matsusaka plant in October and are prepared for further increases in demand. We have also expanded our product lineup in thermometers, as we aim to grow sales further.
